Mentorship
The Mentorship Program connects Scholars with community leaders who guide, encourage, and inspire them to achieve their full potential. Mentors and mentees are paired based on common interests, experiences, and goals in order to create a lasting and beneficial relationship.

Internships
The internship requirement provides real-world knowledge and on-the-job confidence that cannot be gained in the classroom. Scholars must complete at least one internship of 200+ hours before the start of their senior year.

Peer Support
Through the Peer Support Program, junior and senior Scholars serve as role models and confidants to freshmen and sophomore Scholars. This relationship teaches older Scholars valuable mentorship and leadership skills, while creating a supportive community that helps younger Scholars to successfully adjust to college life.

Summer Symposium
The Greenhouse Scholars Summer Symposium is a multi-day event where Scholars receive training and work on group projects designed to teach them to be leaders in communities. These Symposiums also give Scholars the opportunity to form a supportive community with each other and to meet receive leadership training that teaches Scholars invaluable leadership skills and allows them to meet community, industry, and cultural leaders.

Professional Liaisons
The Professional Liaison program provides Scholars with access to successful role models from a variety of industries. These connections give Scholars the opportunity to participate in professional shadowing, build a network of contacts, and gain valuable insight into careers that they may be interested in pursuing.

Financial Support
A four-year renewable, “last dollar” grant is provided based on each Scholar’s financial need. The scholarship is up to $5,000 per year for each Scholar.
