In the spirit of optimism, Greenhouse Scholars hosted the inaugural Glass Half Full wine and food tasting event at the Phipps Mansion on June 11, 2009. The evening focused broadly on the theme of best-kept secrets--we discovered new wines, great food, ground-breaking music, and a live and silent auction with more than a few compelling items. But perhaps the best-kept secret of the night was the amazing stories of our Scholars. Current Scholars Brittni Hernandez and David Rolla shared their inspiring stories about the challenges they have faced and their relentless leadership and perseverance. The event successfully raised more than $26,000.
